Legends of 2v2
It’s no secret that in the world of online gaming passion can lead to fierce competition. So when Clash Royale announced the “The Summer of 2v2,” changing battles from one-on-one to two-on-two, we wanted to focus the conversation around players’ excitement to team up.
And what better way to do that, than by turning every partnership into a Legend.
A Facebook app let players tag their 2v2 teammate. From there, magical, super-complicated, fancy Clash Royale technology (that’s far to complex to explain) chose a suitable legend—celebrating their partnership and solidifying their place in 2v2 history.
Over 768 thousand unique players visited our experience, creating over 217 thousand unique videos. By the end of the campaign, the creative earned over 3.4 million organic impressions—ultimately changing the conversation around Clash Royale from a competitive tone into one of camaraderie and partnership.
